Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour Scholarship
Supporting student-athletes who demonstrate character, leadership, sportsmanship, service, and a commitment to the game of golf.
About the Scholarship
The Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour (OCGT) organizes and operates collegiate golf tournaments and related programs designed to support and expand opportunities for student-athletes through the game of golf.
As part of that commitment, OCGT established its scholarship program to provide financial assistance to eligible student-athletes who have participated in the Tour and demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, sportsmanship, community involvement, and a commitment to enhancing the game of golf.
The scholarship program is administered by Miami Valley Golf (MVG) on behalf of OCGT. Miami Valley Golf receives and processes scholarship applications, reviews eligible applicants, administers scholarship awards, and distributes scholarship funds in accordance with the established program guidelines.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.
- Be pursuing an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree.
- Have participated in Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour events.
Scholarship Awards
For 2026, the Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour will award a total of $4,500 in scholarships to eligible student-athletes.
Men's Scholarships
- One $1,000 scholarship
- One $750 scholarship
- One $500 scholarship
Women's Scholarships
- One $1,000 scholarship
- One $750 scholarship
- One $500 scholarship
Scholarship funding may vary from year to year based on available sponsorship support and Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour participation.
Selection Criteria
Eligible applications will be reviewed by Miami Valley Golf using objective and nondiscriminatory criteria. Applicants will be evaluated in the following areas:
Character
Demonstrates integrity, honesty, responsibility, respect, and strong personal values in all aspects of life.
Leadership
Positively influences others through initiative, service, mentorship, involvement, and leading by example.
Sportsmanship
Consistently demonstrates fairness, respect, courtesy, and professionalism both on and off the golf course.
Community Service
Demonstrates meaningful involvement in service organizations and community activities. Consideration may include length of involvement, participation in specific projects, leadership roles, and overall commitment to serving others.
Commitment to Golf
Demonstrates a meaningful connection to and appreciation for the game of golf. Applicants will have the opportunity to share how they became involved in golf, how long they have played, what they value most about the game, and how they hope to positively contribute to golf in the future.
Award Distribution
Scholarship awards are one-time and non-renewable.
Scholarship funds will be distributed directly to the recipient's accredited educational institution unless an alternative method of distribution is required for compliance purposes.
Scholarship awards:
- Do not constitute compensation for past, present, or future employment.
- Do not require recipients to provide services, employment, endorsements, promotional activities, or other benefits in exchange for receiving an award.
- Are not contingent upon future participation in OCGT programs or events.
2026 Program Timeline
Scholarship Administration
The Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour Scholarship is administered by Miami Valley Golf on behalf of the Ohio Collegiate Golf Tour.
Miami Valley Golf is responsible for receiving and processing scholarship applications, reviewing eligible applicants, administering scholarship awards, and distributing scholarship funds in accordance with the eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and program guidelines established for the scholarship.
Scholarship awards are made through a fair and objective selection process using established, nondiscriminatory criteria.
