Miami Valley GA Wins the Ohio Intra-State

The 12th playing of the Ohio Intra-State Matches took place on Friday, October 1st over the North Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.  Led by Co-Medalist Jeff Scohy's 71, the team from Miami Valley won by 12 shots over runner- up and host association, Northern Ohio. 

This victory is the MVGA's 4th over the last 5 years and leaves them trailing only the Columbus District Golf Association, which has won 6 matches. 

Next year's event will be hosted by the Toledo District Golf Association at the Catawba Island Club on the shores of Lake Erie.  The event will be on Friday, September 30th, with practice rounds the preceding afternoon.

The Miami Valley Team is chosen using the player of the year points list and captain selections.
