Mentors Matters - 6/17/2008

As the kids moved to the range to develop their pitching skills,      Ted Cremeans was there to demonstrate a proper grip and swing technique.  Targets were set up for the young golfers to aim at.  At the end of the day, the targets still stood but everybody enjoyed the activity!

After lunch teams were divided up amongst the participants and asked to answer the question, what are the characteristics of a good mentor? The teams also had to draw a picture representing these characteristics.  It was an excellent exercise that gave valuable insight into what the mentees see as a positive role model.

When the teams were finished with their drawings they presented them to the group.  Each team conveyed what they determined to be important characteristics for a mentor to have.

Thanks to each and every person who was able to attend, we look forward to seeing all of you this summer!
