The 2007 Holiday Awards Dinner Thursday, November 29, 2007 Beavercreek Golf Course View Pictures from the Evenings Activities The final event of the 2007 Season "the Annual Holiday Awards Banquet" was hosted by Beavercreek Golf Club on Thursday, November 29th. DDWGA President, Cathy Jefferson gave a very moving tribute to "Our First Lady of Dayton Golf" Janet Beardsley who passed away this past summer. Next on the agenda was MVGCSA President, Tom Streiff who presented the Superintendent of the Year (John Miller), Assistant of the Year (Todd Dodge) and Lifetime Achievement Award (Ron Hull). Tom also recognized the Scholarship Winners winners in attendance. Mike O'Bryan, President of the MVGA, then gave seven good reasons why having a layoff from golf in the winter was not all bad. (You can go 4 months without a 3 Putt) see all 7 reasons. He then presented the Player of the Year Award to Pete Samborsky and the Senior Player of the Year to Gordon Willins.
